![]() Much of Thailand’s red light districts allure is attributed to the city’s readily availability of Thai ladyboys in the country’s sex tourism industry. In Thai, ladyboys are called “Katoeys” regardless if they have their tools intact or not. In Thailand, Katoeys are considered as the third gender and are widely accepted in all facets of Thai culture and life. | ![]() Our education system is seriously and sadly flawed. In my opinion this has to do with the economic and social inequality stain left by Apartheid. 41.7% of the total population has completed an education of high school or higher, whereas 8.6% of the population aged 20 years and older have not completed any schooling. Read more about this in the blog section. | ![]() Imizamo Yethu (Xhosa, meaning "Our Efforts" and commonly known as Mandela Park or IY, is an informal settlement in the greater Hout Bay Valley area. The 18 hectare settlement houses approximately 33 600 people. It is a lively place full of different cultures from all over South Africa. This is one of my most photographed areas in Cape Town, thus far. |

![]() #FeesMustFall is a student led protest movement that began in mid October 2015 in response to an increase in fees at South African universities. Protests started at the University of Witwatersrand and spread to the University of Cape Town and Rhodes University before rapidly spreading to other universities across the country. By October 2016 the estimated total cost in property damage due to the protest since 2015 had amounted to R600 million (equivalent to US$44.25 million). Read more in blog. |
